Lady Cameron of Lochiel (1913-2006)

Lady Cameron of Lochiel, who died shortly before 16 March, 2006, aged 93, was the widow of Colonel Sir Donald Hamish Cameron of Lochiel, KT, CVO, TD, Chief of the Clan Cameron. She was Margaret Doris Gathorne-Hardy, scion of the Earls of Cranbrook, born in 1913, daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel the Hon Nigel Charles Gathorne-Hardy, DSO (1880-1958), by his wife Doris Cecilia Featherston Johnston, daughter of the Hon Sir Charles Johnston, of Karori, Wellington, New Zealand. She married Donald Cameron in 1939. She leaves 2 daughters, Anne and Caroline, and two sons, Donald (Clan Chief, husband of Lady Cecil Kerr, of the Marquesses of Lothian) and Johnny. The funeral is at St Andrew's Church, Fort William, 21 Mar 2006.
